jQuery Sparkline Methods

This section describes the methods that can be used in code to manipulate objects related to the Bullet widget.

See Also

beginUpdate()

Prevents the widget from refreshing until the endUpdate() method is called.

The beginUpdate() and endUpdate() methods prevent the widget from excessive updates when you are changing multiple widget settings at once. After the beginUpdate() method is called, the widget does not update its UI until the endUpdate() method is called.

See Also

dispose()

After calling this method, remove the DOM element associated with the widget:

jQuery
JavaScript
$("#mySparkline").dxSparkline("dispose");
$("#mySparkline").remove();
Angular
HTML
<dx-sparkline #sparklineVar id="mySparkline"></dx-sparkline>
TypeScript
import { ..., ViewChild } from "@angular/core";
import { DxSparklineComponent } from "devextreme-angular";
// ...
export class AppComponent {
    @ViewChild("sparklineVar", { static: false }) sparkline: DxSparklineComponent;
    // Prior to Angular 8
    // @ViewChild("sparklineVar") sparkline: DxSparklineComponent;

    removeSparkline (e) {
        this.sparkline.instance.dispose();
        document.getElementById("mySparkline").remove();
    }
}

import Sparkline from "devextreme/viz/sparkline";
...
let element = document.getElementById("mySparkline");
let instance = Sparkline.getInstance(element) as Sparkline;

// Non-modular approach
let element = document.getElementById("mySparkline");
let instance = DevExpress.viz.dxSparkline.getInstance(element);
