DevExtreme jQuery/JS - Get a Widget Instance
To get a widget instance, save it in a scope property once the widget is initialized:

$scope.menuInstance = {};
$scope.menuOptions = {

onInitialized: function (e) {
$scope.menuInstance = e.component;
}
};
