An object that defines common configuration options for gauge range bars.

Type: Object

Use this object's properties to set options for all gauge range bars at once. If you need to set an individual value for a common option, use the corresponding rangeBar object within the rangeBars array. Values that are set individually override their corresponding common values.

backgroundColor

Deprecated

Use the valueIndicator | backgroundColor option instead.

Specifies a range bar's background color.

Type: String
Default Value: 'none'

The background color is used to indicate the area reserved for range bars. This color is replaced with the color specified by the color property at the place where a range bar is positioned.

This option supports the following colors.

  • Hexadecimal colors
  • RGB colors
  • RGBA colors (not supported in Internet Explorer 8)
  • Predefined/Cross-browser color names
  • Predefined SVG colors

baseValue

Use the valueIndicator | baseValue option instead.

Specifies a scale value from which a range bar grows to the value specified by the value property (see rangeBars).

Default Value: undefined

color

Use the valueIndicator | color option instead.

Specifies a range bar color.

Type: String
Default Value: '#cbc5cf'

This option supports the following colors.

  • Hexadecimal colors
  • RGB colors
  • RGBA colors (not supported in Internet Explorer 8)
  • Predefined/Cross-browser color names
  • Predefined SVG colors

horizontalOrientation

Use the valueIndicator | horizontalOrientation option instead.

Specifies the range bar's orientation relative to an invisible scale line in the vertically oriented LinearGauge widget.

Type: String
Default Value: 'right'
Accepted Values: 'left' | 'right'

When setting up a range bar, apply the required orientation first to check that the result responds to your needs. Then, set the required offset from the invisible scale line to shift the range bar.

offset

Use the valueIndicator | offset option instead.

Specifies the offset of a range bar from an invisible scale line in pixels.

Type: Number
Default Value: 10

Using this property, you can arrange range bars in several rows. For this purpose, set a different offset for them. In addition, consider using the horizontalOrientation/verticalOrientation property to specify the initial range bar orientation relative to the invisible scale line.

size

Specifies the range bar width.

Default Value: 10

text

Deprecated

Use the valueIndicator | text option instead.

Specifies font and formatting options of the text displayed by a range bar.

Type: Object

Note that the range bar's indent property must not be set to 0, if you need to show the text.

verticalOrientation

Use the valueIndicator | verticalOrientation option instead.

Specifies the range bar's orientation relative to an invisible scale line in the horizontally oriented LinearGauge widget.

Type: String
Default Value: 'bottom'
Accepted Values: 'top' | 'bottom'
