Fields

This section describes fields that can be used in code to manipulate a Node object.

data

The object from the data source visualized by the node.

Type: Object

index

The index of the current node in the array of all nodes on the same level.

Type: Number

Along with level, this field allows you to identify the position of the node in the hierarchy of nodes. The root node always has level -1 and index -1. The indexing of nodes on each nested level starts anew from 0.

level

The level that the current node occupies in the hierarchy of nodes.

Type: Number

Along with index, this field allows you to identify the position of the node in the hierarchy of nodes. For example, the root node always has level -1 and index -1. Its children have level 0, the children's children have level 1, and so forth.
