JavaScript/jQuery ActionSheet Methods
beginUpdate()
Prevents the widget from refreshing until the endUpdate() method is called.
The beginUpdate() and endUpdate() methods prevent the widget from excessive updates when you are changing multiple widget settings at once. After the beginUpdate() method is called, the widget does not update its UI until the endUpdate() method is called.

defaultOptions(rule)
defaultOptions is a static method that the widget class supports. The following code demonstrates how to specify default options for all instances of the ActionSheet widget in an application executed on the desktop.
jQuery
DevExpress.ui.dxActionSheet.defaultOptions({ device: { deviceType: "desktop" }, options: { // Here go the ActionSheet options } });
Angular
import ActionSheet from "devextreme/ui/action_sheet"; // ... export class AppComponent { constructor () { ActionSheet.defaultOptions({ device: { deviceType: "desktop" }, options: { // Here go the ActionSheet options } }); } }
dispose()
The following code disposes of an ActionSheet instance that corresponds to the element ID (or reference variable in Angular) and removes the element from the DOM:
jQuery
$("#myActionSheet").dxActionSheet("dispose"); $("#myActionSheet").remove();
Angular
<dx-action-sheet #actionSheetVar id="myActionSheet"></dx-action-sheet>
import { ..., ViewChild } from "@angular/core"; import { DxActionSheetComponent } from "devextreme-angular"; // ... export class AppComponent { @ViewChild("actionSheetVar") actionSheet: DxActionSheetComponent; removeActionSheet (e) { this.actionSheet.instance.dispose(); document.getElementById("myActionSheet").remove(); } }
endUpdate()
Refreshes the widget after a call of the beginUpdate() method.

getInstance(element)
getInstance is a static method that the widget class supports. The following code demonstrates how to get the ActionSheet instance found in an element with the myActionSheet
ID:
// Modular approach import ActionSheet from "devextreme/ui/action_sheet"; ... let element = document.getElementById("myActionSheet"); let instance = ActionSheet.getInstance(element) as ActionSheet; // Non-modular approach let element = document.getElementById("myActionSheet"); let instance = DevExpress.ui.dxActionSheet.getInstance(element);
