Angular Common - Utils - localization

An object that serves as a namespace for the methods that are used to localize an application.

formatDate(value, format)

Converts a Date object to a string using the specified format.

import { formatDate } from "devextreme/localization"
Parameters:
value:

Date

A Date object to be converted.

format:

Format

The format to be used for conversion.

Return Value:

String

The formatted string.

formatMessage(key, value)

Substitutes the provided value(s) for placeholders in a message that the key specifies.

The key that identifies the message in a dictionary.

Array<String>

One or several values used to fill placeholders in the message.

Return Value:

String

The formatted message.

Gets the current locale identifier.
