jQuery RadioGroup - Keyboard Support

An end user can use the following keys to interact with the UI component.

Key Action
↑ or Page Up Moves focus to the previous radio button.
↓ or Page Down Moves focus to the next radio button.
Home / End Moves focus to the first/last radio button.
Enter or Space Selects the focused radio button.

You can implement a custom handler for a key using the registerKeyHandler(key, handler) method.

jQuery
JavaScript
function registerKeyHandlers () {
    const radioGroup = $("#radioGroupContainer").dxRadioGroup("instance");
    radioGroup.registerKeyHandler("backspace", function(e) {
        // The argument "e" contains information on the event
    });
    radioGroup.registerKeyHandler("space", function(e) {
        // ...
    });
}
Angular
TypeScript
import { ..., ViewChild, AfterViewInit } from '@angular/core';
import { DxRadioGroupModule, DxRadioGroupComponent } from 'devextreme-angular';
// ...
export class AppComponent implements AfterViewInit {
    @ViewChild(DxRadioGroupComponent, { static: false }) radioGroup: DxRadioGroupComponent;
    // Prior to Angular 8
    // @ViewChild(DxRadioGroupComponent) radioGroup: DxRadioGroupComponent;

    ngAfterViewInit () {
        this.radioGroup.instance.registerKeyHandler('backspace', function(e) {
            // The argument "e" contains information on the event
        });
        this.radioGroup.instance.registerKeyHandler('space', function(e) {
            // ...
        });
