React Bullet Methods
This section describes the methods that can be used in code to manipulate objects related to the Bullet widget.
beginUpdate()
Prevents the widget from refreshing until the endUpdate() method is called.
The beginUpdate() and endUpdate() methods prevent the widget from excessive updates when you are changing multiple widget settings at once. After the beginUpdate() method is called, the widget does not update its UI until the endUpdate() method is called.

dispose()
Disposes of all the resources allocated to the Bullet instance.
The following code disposes of an Bullet instance that corresponds to the element ID (or reference variable in Angular) and removes the element from the DOM:
jQuery
$("#myBullet").dxBullet("dispose"); $("#myBullet").remove();
Angular
<dx-bullet #bulletVar id="myBullet"></dx-bullet>
import { ..., ViewChild } from "@angular/core"; import { DxBulletComponent } from "devextreme-angular"; // ... export class AppComponent { @ViewChild("bulletVar") bullet: DxBulletComponent; removeBullet (e) { this.bullet.instance.dispose(); document.getElementById("myBullet").remove(); } }
element()
Gets the root widget element.
An HTML element or a jQuery element when you use jQuery.
endUpdate()

getInstance is a static method that the widget class supports. The following code demonstrates how to get the Bullet instance found in an element with the myBullet
ID:
// Modular approach import Bullet from "devextreme/viz/bullet"; ... let element = document.getElementById("myBullet"); let instance = Bullet.getInstance(element) as Bullet; // Non-modular approach let element = document.getElementById("myBullet"); let instance = DevExpress.viz.dxBullet.getInstance(element);
