Accessibility Standards Compliance

The Toolbar component meets a variety of Section 508 and WCAG 2.x compliance standards. Known exceptions:

Toolbar does not support Windows High Contrast themes.

The component also complies with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) directives.

Keyboard Navigation

A user can use the following keys to interact with the Toolbar component when allowKeyboardNavigation is set to true:

Key Action
Tab If a Toolbar receives focus, it focuses its first available item.
Shift + Tab If a Toolbar receives focus, it focuses its last available item.
Left Arrow / Right Arrow Moves focus to the previous or next available Toolbar item.
Home / End Moves focus to the first or last available Toolbar item.

Screen Reader Support

The Toolbar component supports screen readers and complies to WAI-ARIA standards.
