Angular Drawer Methods
This section describes the methods that control the Drawer widget.
beginUpdate()
Prevents the widget from refreshing until the endUpdate() method is called.
The beginUpdate() and endUpdate() methods prevent the widget from excessive updates when you are changing multiple widget settings at once. After the beginUpdate() method is called, the widget does not update its UI until the endUpdate() method is called.

defaultOptions(rule)

jQuery
DevExpress.ui.dxDrawer.defaultOptions({ device: { deviceType: "desktop" }, options: { // Here go the Drawer options } });
Angular
import Drawer from "devextreme/ui/drawer"; // ... export class AppComponent { constructor () { Drawer.defaultOptions({ device: { deviceType: "desktop" }, options: { // Here go the Drawer options } }); } }
Vue
<template> <div> <dx-drawer id="drawer1" /> <dx-drawer id="drawer2" /> </div> </template> <script> import DxDrawer from "devextreme-vue/drawer"; import Drawer from "devextreme/ui/drawer"; Drawer.defaultOptions({ device: { deviceType: "desktop" }, options: { // Here go the Drawer options } }); export default { components: { DxDrawer } } </script>
React
import React from "react"; import dxDrawer from "devextreme/ui/drawer"; import Drawer from "devextreme-react/drawer"; class App extends React.Component { render () { dxDrawer.defaultOptions({ device: { deviceType: "desktop" }, options: { // Here go the Drawer options } }) return ( <div> <Drawer id="drawer1" /> <Drawer id="drawer2" /> </div> ) } } export default App;
dispose()
Disposes of all the resources allocated to the Drawer instance.
The following code disposes of an Drawer instance that corresponds to the element ID (or reference variable in Angular) and removes the element from the DOM:
jQuery
$("#myDrawer").dxDrawer("dispose"); $("#myDrawer").remove();
Angular
<dx-drawer #drawerVar id="myDrawer"></dx-drawer>
import { ..., ViewChild } from "@angular/core"; import { DxDrawerComponent } from "devextreme-angular"; // ... export class AppComponent { @ViewChild("drawerVar") drawer: DxDrawerComponent; removeDrawer (e) { this.drawer.instance.dispose(); document.getElementById("myDrawer").remove(); } }
element()
