React Toast Props

An object defining configuration options for the Toast widget.

accessKey

Specifies the shortcut key that sets focus on the widget.

Type:

Default Value: null

The value of this option will be passed to the accesskey attribute of the HTML element that underlies the widget.

animation

Configures widget visibility animations. This object contains two fields: show and hide.

Set this object to null or undefined to disable animation.

closeOnClick

A Boolean value specifying whether or not the toast is closed if a user clicks it.

closeOnOutsideClick

Specifies whether to close the widget if a user clicks outside it.

Function

Function parameters:
event:

Event (jQuery or EventObject)

The event that caused widget closing. It is a dxEvent or a jQuery.Event when you use jQuery.

Return Value:

Boolean

true if the widget should be closed; otherwise false.

Default Value: true (Android)

The function passed to this option enables you to specify a custom condition for widget closing. For instance, you can prevent closing until a user clicks a certain element.

The closeOnOutsideClick function is called when a user clicks the widget or outside it.

closeOnSwipe

A Boolean value specifying whether or not the toast is closed if a user swipes it out of the screen boundaries.

contentComponent

An alias for the contentTemplate option specified in React. Accepts a custom component. Refer to Using a Custom Component for more information.

contentRender

An alias for the contentTemplate option specified in React. Accepts a rendering function. Refer to Using a Rendering Function for more information.

Specifies a custom template for the widget content.

deferRendering

Specifies whether to render the widget's content when it is displayed. If false, the content is rendered immediately.

The time span in milliseconds during which the Toast widget is visible.

Specifies whether the widget can be focused using keyboard navigation.

Specifies text for a hint that appears when a user pauses on the widget.

Positions the widget.

This option accepts one of the following:

  • Position configuration object
    An object that specifies the widget's position.

  • String
    A shortcut listed in the accepted values. Positions the widget relative to the window.

  • Function
    A function that returns one of the above. Use it to position the widget based on a condition.

Use the PositionAlignment enum to specify this option when the widget is used as an ASP.NET MVC 5 Control or a DevExtreme-Based ASP.NET Core Control. This enum accepts the following values: Bottom, Center, Left, LeftBottom, LeftTop, RightBottom, RightTop, and Top.

rtlEnabled

Switches the widget to a right-to-left representation.

Type:

Boolean

Default Value: false

When this option is set to true, the widget text flows from right to left, and the layout of elements is reversed. To switch the entire application/site to the right-to-left representation, assign true to the rtlEnabled field of the object passed to the DevExpress.config(config) method.

shading

Specifies whether to shade the background when the widget is active.

Shading applies to the first specified element in the following sequence: container => position.of => window

shadingColor

Specifies the shading color.

Type:

Default Value: ''

This option makes sense only if the shading option is set to true.

tabIndex

Specifies the number of the element when the Tab key is used for navigating.

Type:

Number

Default Value: 0

The value of this option will be passed to the tabindex attribute of the HTML element that underlies the widget.

Specifies the Toast widget type.

Accepted Values: 'custom' | 'error' | 'info' | 'success' | 'warning'

The available toast types (except for "custom") only differ by the icon and background color.

If you assign "custom" to the type option, the dx-toast-custom class is applied to the widget element. Implement the appropriate CSS class to specify toast appearance.

Use the ToastType enum to specify this option when the widget is used as an ASP.NET MVC 5 Control or a DevExtreme-Based ASP.NET Core Control. This enum accepts the following values: Info, Warning, Error, Success, and Custom.

visible

A Boolean value specifying whether or not the widget is visible.

You can show and hide the widget by changing the value of an observable variable passed to this option.

The widget is automatically hidden after the time specified in the displayTime option.

width

Specifies the widget's width in pixels.
